Lately there has been a lot of talk about weight gain and bloating with consuming wheat based products. Dr. Mercola said in one of his studies that if a person gives up wheat based products the average person would lose 27 lbs without any other changes in their diet. I have severly dry skin in the winter. I really want to try this product but the last thing I want is to gain weight. Can I please get some information on this. Will using this product cause weight gain and bloating due to the ingredient "Lipowheat"?

I suggest you try MSM, 2000 mg/day.  It will make your hair and skin very supple.

There's no reason why the product would cause weight gain.  I have used it with no problem.

More information can be viewed at http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2011/feb2011_Unique-Plant-Lipids-for-Skin-Rejuvenation-and-Hydration_01.htm and http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/Item01502/Skin-Restoring-Phytoceramides-with-Lipowheat.html

After about a month after starting this, noticed skin is starting to get "oily" again, occasional zits, etc, but that is good news

I've been using this product now for a month and I have not noticed any weight gain.  I just bought my 2nd month batch so here's hoping my dry skin will disappear.  Smile

If you are keying off the wheat in the marketing name, don't worry about it. It isn't wheat. And it is quite effective. I use it three times a week as every day was overkill.

In my opinion this has to do with the good bacteria affecting the mecahnism of the thyroid hormones in the gut. They make t3 hormone from t4 hormone.
