How does LEF and the Lef forum community feel about flu shots?

I work at a place that make it mandatory to get a flu shot or else you will lose your job. (Unless you have a doctors not and signature verifying that you've had a severe allergic reaction to eggs in the past)

I don't believe they offer the mercury free shot.

I have never received a flu shot before. I guess I concerned about the mercury (therasol) contained in them and possible bad side effects. Is there anything I can do or take supplement wise before or after I get the flu shot to help me eliminate the possible toxic effects some research talks about?

Flu shots are not orthomolecular medicine.  Try boosting your immunity naturally, e.g., take 1000-3000 mg of vitamin C per day.

Is there some other clinic near you that offers a mercury-free solution, or can your physician order one?

I'm going to check to see if a mercury free shot is available at employee health. I just don't understand how flu shots can be required. They are threatening to fire people. This seems wrong to me:-(

From the CDC....."The single-dose units are made without thimerosal as a preservative because they are intended to be opened and used only once. Additionally, the live-attenuated version of the vaccine (the nasal spray vaccine), is produced in single-dose units and does not contain thimerosal."

http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/vaccine/thimerosal.htm

I haven't had a flu shot in many years, but if my job required one, I'd get the jab. I'm sure you can find a thimerosal-free shot, just start looking now before they run out.

Here is some information your employer should be made aware of:
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/10/31/flu-vaccination-epa-safety-limit-for-mercury.aspx

especially view the video in this piece about that woman who contracted
Guillain Barre Syndrome from the flu vaccine.

Lots of evidence out there that looks solid to me that these shots are ineffective and dangerous.

You are stuck in a difficult position with that condition of employment.
