I have just read about PHC (Prostate Health Cocktail) another OTS formula which has been patented. Compounds doses are not disclosed and include many of what LEF has been recommending (EGCG (from Green Tea Extract), Selenium, Saw Palmetto Fruit Extract, Lycopene, Genistein, Daidzein, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin E).

E.g. see here:

Any comment and/or experience?

Good finding Calc, thank you.  Do you understand from the text, the following is the daily doses when taking the 3 recommended caps?

Look similar to recommendations from other similar formulations.

I'd assume that is the total daily intake as 3x that amount would be borderline dangerous for Vitamin E and Selenium.

The Onco Natural web site indicates here the doses as per the possible side effects associated with the ingredients:

" Possible Risks to Participating in the Study ... And this FDA Clinical Trial is no exception. Below is a thorough list of side effects associated with the ingredients in Prostate Health Cocktail. Because it is a combination product, there also may be other side effects that cannot as yet be predicted..."

... Epigallocatechin (Green Tea Extract) 400 mg daily ...

... Lycopene 10 mg daily ...

... Selenium (L-Selenomethionine) 200 mcg daily...

... Saw Palmetto Berry Extract (Permixon) 320 mg daily...

... Genistein (Soy Derivative)...

... Vitamin E (d-alpha Tocopherol) 400 IU daily ...

... Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 400 IU daily..."

http://www.onconatural.com/risks-associated-with-clinical-trial.htm

Did they apply for a patent formulation for those who already carried a PCa treatment and wish to try a natural way to avoid recurrence? This seems the case also due to having included both daidzein and genistein supplements for their cancer cells growth inhibition property. Most of evidence comes however from directly eating soy foods rather than taking isoflavone supplements. I feel the LEF's Ultra Natural Prostate formula plus including in moderation organic soy food is still a good way for prevention. While containing other interesting components, LEF formula also does not contain additional vitamin E which you can take elsewhere and importantly in the right dose and mixed forms blend.

calc (9/29/2012)

Agree calc! Also noticed the genistein and daidzein doses are quite similar to what LEF includes in their formula for soy isoflavones (resp. 28mg and 22mg)

http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/Item01649/Super-Absorbable-Soy-Isoflavones.html?source=search&key=genistein

In the last May issue of LEF Magazine, W. Faloon reports great results on his PSA using supplementation incl. genistein.

So far I must get something from food as I re-introduced soy in my diet (just had a yummy tofu dinner my wife prepared a-la-chinoise :-))

PS
I can almost hear Transpower shouting on me using soy ...
