Pursuant to a recent discussion, what diet do you follow and what are some of the benefits you've experienced?

I wanted to lose weight so tried eating a solid breakfast. Didn't work.

Tried a very light breakfast or skip it, very light lunch or skip it and ate quite a bit in the evening before bed, I lost weight quickly.

So eating very well before bed works wonders for me if I eat very little during the day. I don't have periods during the day being sluggish and don't feel hungry during the day hardly at all. Besides this my energy levels are much higher all day.

My body burns off calories like crazy this way, about a 1-1.5 lbs a week. There are others who eat most calories in the evening before bed also with similar results.

This is a mild form of intermittent fasting.

That's completely contrary to published research.  The main meal should be at lunch, with a moderate meal at breakfast and a light dinner.

I know. I mentioned it in another forum and had many replies that it worked the same for those other people, lost weight and had more energy.

I tried the bigger meals at breakfast and lunch, didn't work. So the evening loading of calories works so well, I can drop weight whenever I want and I 'cheat' too.

Here's an article that relates to intermittent fasting.

Eating breakfast makes me tired and hungry all day.  Studies have found people who eat breakfast live longer but an increase in calories can't be good for people like us.  A switch to a low carb breakfast didn't help.

So if you skip breakfast and/or lunch, how do you take your supplements that need to be taken w/food?  Is an Atkins shake enough to take my CoQ10, bstress, PQQ, etc. with and get absorbed?

Mine: modified Mediterranean diet with an emphasis on #4, with a little bit of #1.

One container of Atkins Shake has a Total Fat content of 10g and of that 3.5g of saturated fat and 0g trans fat.  It has 15g of protein.  Do you think this is good enough for absorption of my supplements?
