As I recently read in Outsmart Your Cancer, the combination of flax seed oil and cottage cheese increases Omega 3 ratios vis a vis Omega 6s, which in theory will create a bit more elasticity in your cells (permitting more oxygen to enter the cells, thus giving them energy). Since the hormone insulin sometimes doesn't work (cells are resistant to the command, "admit this extra glucose, which wants to get it; it is floating around in some blood"), and since I don't know the answer, I must ask the question: would limber cells, which came about through the use of flax seed oil and cottage cheese, more readily admit the excess glucose in ones blood?
If that might be the case, shouldn't FSO/CC be part of most type 2 diabetic diets?

Check online for Dr. Johanna Budwig who created the Budwig Protocol (Diet) of which the cottage cheese/flaxseed combo is a mainstay.   There are sites that mention diabetes (most of them are for cancer)   There's a huge amount of information but you have to dig for answers.  Here is a site with a lot of information concerning diabetes.  Good luck to you!
