LEF:  I wish you guys would go back to the old gray hair forum.  This new new is nowhere near as popular as you old one.

Well, folks, not a peep out of EXT Life Sciences in 2 years now since they bragged about their new gray hair technology:

In March of 2009 Dr. Stanley Terlecky said, EXT’s discovery and extensive research on targeted antioxidants present a platform for anti-aging products of the future, including shampoos to keep hair from turning gray and creams to keep skin smooth, by counteracting the natural oxidant damage that occurs with the aging process. “EXT not only understands the process that turns hair gray but offers a potentially powerful antidote.  We are ahead of the game in terms of nearing the point where we can act on our research and take a product to market.”

I've given up on them.  In the past couple decades, I've seen the same kind of stuff out of small companies in the hair loss industry.  They run to the media bragging about a new discovery, but then you never hear from them again.

As for L'Oreal, it's now been over 7 years since Bruno said they would get a gray hair reversal product on the market.   No updates from them in over 2 years now.  I think whenever they want to sell more hair products and want free publicity, they send Bruno out to the media to give some update on his research on gray hair.  I don't believe they'll ever come out with anything.

Our latest hope lies with UCLA.  Their hair loss breakthrough with mice also demonstrates help for those who suffer from gray hair.  However, it has yet to be tested on humans:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110216/ts_afp/healthusresearch_20110216230557

The article says:

Not only did it help grow hair, it also appeared to help hair maintain its color and not go gray.

"This molecule also keeps the hair color, prevents the hair from turning gray," he told AFP.

However, no idea of it can reverse gray hair.  And by the time it hit the market if it ever did, we'd probably all be silver by then.

Wow! I just got to this forum and am impressed by the breadth and depth of information on reversing gray hair (not exactly a "cure" is it?).  Anyway, I haven't had a chance to read the whole thread (it's huge Smile), but I'm sure that colloidal copper is one of the methods that's been discussed.
Does anyone have experience with using it? I've considered it but haven't done anything about it yet.  I'm not quite 40 yet, but my hair is about 90% gray already.

Any tips would be most appreciated!

Thanks,
Brovar

Has anyone had success in reversing grey hair with Ho Shou Wu (a.k.a. Fo-Ti)? If yes, what was your daily dosage and how long before you began to see a difference? Is it also effective in reversing greying eyebrows?

I have read about potential rare liver reactions to Ho Shou Wu, but not sure how accurate that is.

I look forward to feedback regarding Ho Shou Wu. Thanks! Smile

One positive about EXT Life Sciences is that they have updated their website with a profile of their management team.  People involved seemed qualified.

But, they really shouldn't have gone around bragging about their technologies 2 years ago if they can't deliver on it.   In the past 20 years, I've seen company after company do the same thing with hair loss discoveries.  They brag about some new discovery, make grandiose claims about it, then you never hear from them again.

That's just another reason I would bet the farm EXT Life Sciences never delivers anything to the market.  THey'll fade away into oblivion.  I've seen it before time and time again.

Execute first, brag later.
