Thanks, Dave.  Have you seen any results?  I know those other bottles were "off" but I'm not sure if you still got some noticeable stuff happening...?

I have contacted viaguard via eBay. I asked them why some people were experiencing the bad smell and why some people said it was like water and hard to apply. I will now copy and paste the response I got. (Word for word)

different people have there different opinions. The formula used to be mixed with a powder mixture we then found that the formula lasted longer and worked better with a liquid mixture. And a lot of people did not follow directions on storing the bottle after it being opened which can cause the smell. It must be kept cool, or refrigerated. The product itself is a serum, it is not a liquid and it is not a cream it is in the middle.

Interesting, Sara from Viaguard said people did not follow the directions that the product needed to be kept cool or refrigerated after opening and that is what caused the smell. If you read the label on the original bottles it says "store at room temperature", now of course the labels on the newer bottles says to keep cool or refigerate.  Makes me suspicious of them.

Cylonjim,

I really don't know if DMSO makes a difference. According to the the directions on the bottle you shouldn't need it.

"I have not seen any results yet but my hair is white so I am wondering if it would take longer to see results??"

It's been my experience that white hair takes much longer to reverse. However, it is easier to observe the change once it starts happening.

cylonjim,

Another thought about your DMSO question. The product already has Methyl Gluceth-20, which is used for its moisture retentive qualities and ability to open pores and follicles.

I'm only using DMSO because my gut tells me it will help get the product down to the hair root better. A concern I have is that DMSO may also get too much manganese from the product into my blood system.

FYI I have a small patch of Vitiligo on my scalp which has also improved significantly since starting this product. I would rate the Vitiligo results much higher than the gray hair results at this point in time.

Thanks for the insight Beefster. Your vitligo results make sense.  As others have here, I wonder if expsoure to UVB thru sunlight or a lamp would help here since that is typically recommended for use of the compoiund to treat vitiligo.

I have taken the plunge today and bought some Depo-Melanin on Ebay. Sara from Viaguard also did confirm i should see results faster, as i shave my hair.

I will let you know when i receive the product.
