I heard back

from the company that makes the product  Viaguard, they stated,

David:

Thank you for letting us know there is an issue with your product.

Thats it, no offer to replace the product, I e-mailed them again to ask if they would replace the product.

Isn't the company far off someplace?  I think my package came from Australia or somewhere like that.  I have never seen a foreign company replace a product.  You would be better off asking for a refund and then you could just purchase it again.

Oh okay; I thought my package said something else because me and the DHL guy both thought something about the package was weird.

Yes, the company is in Canada. They said today that they would consider replacing the product and would "follow soon with specific details" I am betting others have had the same problem with it going bad and smelling terrible.

I'm glad to hear that they will at least honor their product if it goes bad.

Here's a re-post of a link someone posted a few pages back when Viaguard's product was first talked about on this board.  I know that you can never take testimonial comments as being 100% legit, but reading through these gives me some encouragement.

Hey guys, I ordered the two bottles of Depo Melanin from the Canada manufacturer and as soon as I opened the first bottle, I also had that very soury type of smell. The liquid is clear and very thin so even though I'm only putting a little on the area above my ears, it's hard to massage in, without dripping.

Dave, I see that the company replaced yours? I didn't think that it might be bad, I just thought that was the smell of the catalase or active ingredient (but the smell IS not the best so I did it at night! Which actually left only a night to let the product work, so not the best way to use this product. If it smelled better/weren't a bad batch, then I could properly use it!

I think I'm through half of the first bottle in a month or so. Do you think I should contact the company? How are the new bottles you received, any difference in the smell issue???

Thanks for any help. I also cut my hair short on the aides above ears where I have some grey so results would show more quickly. Hard to tell...

Hope yours is working, drop me a line!

Hi all I'm new to the forum. Been reading up about grey hair, this new product does seem to carry some hope for us all!

Thinking of buying some, where is the best place to get it?

Also I shave my head, so am I right in thinking this would work better? As it would get straight to my skin?
But then if I shave again when hair has grown longer would it disrupt the treatment?

Thanks all, have a good day.
