So like, everyone here knows I have weird genes, so I am not like most people when they take supplements - I always have weird reactions.  I bought MiraForte one month ago.  I am 37 and never took a blood test to see if my free testosterone levels are blow the healthy age 18 to 21 level.  I then ate the supplements regardless for two weeks, and still eat them.  What I noticed was that I got tons more energy; if I don't even get sleep, eating the pills make me function much better.  I am also thinking more about sex, and that sucks, because I want to be non-sexual and grow offspring in artificial wombs instead since I am a crazy radical transhumanist who does not believe in icky sex.

Another reaction from eating these pills is that I can't focus on intellectual tasks.  For example, I can't focus on mathematics and process the data in my brain: my brain keeps wondering off.  Same thing with reading technical stuff.  This sucks, since I already have very bad ADD.  Maybe it's the Muira puama; when I took this alone from another brand (or was it Maca I took, I don't remember), I noticed the same effect.  According to the LEF MiraForte page, this ingredient is added not to benefit testosterone, but to increase your sex drive.  But I don't want a sex drive: I just want high testosterone to make my body youthful without any sexuality.  Maybe I should just try a mix of chrysin, nettle root, and Norwegian spruce lignan extract.

Thanks!

Maybe too much testosterone makes a person less intelligent.  If you look at psychopaths and low intelligent people as a group, they will on average have higher levels of testosterone than normal people.  I wonder if chimps have higher blood concentrations than humans, or more testosterone cell receptors.

So perhaps the extra testosterone shut down deep attention and focus in my brain and instead facilitated hyper and sexual behaviors.  I did notice I was more hostile and brave/fearless once I started taking this supplement.

If you don't take blood test before adjusting supplements to get baseline, you are flying blind.  LEF has affordable tests for a male.  Did you take those?

Since testosterone is believed to be the main hormone responsible for libido, it is unknown how one might elevate that hormone and not experience this effect. If you find sexual thoughts to be distracting you from whatever it is you desire to focus on, you might be better off with lower levels of this hormone unless you can learn to channel the energy into the preferred outlets.  Agree with Dan, blood tests are a good idea, particularly after going off Super Miraforte for awhile so you can see if your baseline levels of testosterone have been low all along.

Hi, Chutzpah.

I get into a high-energy/can't think mode sometimes, too. It's like mild mania: excellent mood, prefer not to sit still, but my body (and sometimes mouth) is moving faster than my brain. I find myself trying to do 4 things at once and usually forgetting 2 of them. Smile

I have some odd reactions to supplements myself, so I try not to take many combination products with a bunch of different supplements in them. It's a little hard on the budget sometimes, but it's easier to figure out what you're actually reacting to.

Good luck,
Elaine
