Hi, I am 32 years old, and since I was a child, I suffer from recurrent herpes simplex infections, usually during the first mothns of winter. This herpes causes me social issues and I didnt found any relief from common medications and patches. Also I'm not much into "conventional" drugs and I was looking for something more... natural.  I've heard about Isoprinosine, or Imunovir, an immunostimulant agent that claims to prevent or reduce symptoms by naturally helping my immune system to react, and I've found some tablets for sale here:

http://www.my-lifespan.com/isoprinosine.html

Is this drug effective? Are there any nasty side effects or interactions with other prescriptions? Do I need to take it before the herpes rush? Does it work for Genital Herpes too?ThanksGiuseppe

Although isoprinosine may help stimulate the immune system, it is not a specific treatment for the herpes virus.  "Natural" is a meaningless marketing term.  Isoprinosine doesn't grow on trees.  But since you have said nothing else worked for you, it is worth a try.  Please discuss this and the use of other drugs with your physician.

Well there is good old BHT and though it may or may not grow on trees, it has been proven to grow or occur in growing number of plants. Here is a great article about how BHT deactivates free radicals and reactive oxygen species in this specific plant. And BHT has been used by a very many people since the early 1980`s to successfully treat all the herpes viruses and other viruses also. First discovered to occur naturally in certain phytoplankton in 2008.
Link to 2010 study about naturally occurring BHT and how it works to protect this plant:

Good old BHT, still working after all these years,   ...Oscar

Merovingio, I am curious to know if have you also tried L-Lysine for the herpes outbreaks and IP6 as immune booster. Both seem working for me.

In my practice I have found Lysine (L-Lysine the same thing) are effective at stopping all types of herpes developing. As a bonus it is generally one of the less expensive supplements. If you are not taking lysine all the time, you could try doubling the dose on the packet at first noticing an out break and take a high dose for the rest of the day. I have found this can shut the coming out break down.

Many people who suffer can be more sensitive to cheese, chocolate, red wine, oranges and stress. I would recommend you avoid these foods altogetherif you have chronic problems. LFE Clinical Nutritionist
