Niacin - benefits for longevity?

Yes Zork, thank you for reminding us that issue. I also read years ago the same book and tried to apply its recommendation with only limited success. I use niacin mainly for my LPa and LDL with other supplements too. I use up to 500mg/d and also use TMG (500-1000mg). I believe the TMG and a low dose (1/4 of serving) of LEF Complete B-Complex, is relatively sucessful to keep my homocysteine at bay: i got it lowered from ca. 14 to 12, still high, but will check in summer my next blood works. I need very high folate (always use that vs. folic acid) or more absorbable methylfolate but tend to resist that and wish to remain near the RDA as much as I can and  compromise. Follwing strictly the book recommendation I succeeded one to get homocysteine down to 10. Will see ...
