Very good point, DDye, critics on both sides!
I've sometimes hesitated to offer needed health insights even during perfect opportunities to share with friends and neighbors because I'm self-conscious of my less-than perfectly toned, less-than perfectly fit appearance any health guru seemingly ought to have. . .  (though my level of knowledge easily surpasses 5 years of reading and re-reading LEF magazine cover-to-cover, a biology/chemistry minor, and some 20 years of pursuing health as a hobby prior to that. . . not to mention some pretty darn good bloodwork).

I don't think its an issue of bashing spokespeople who engage in plastic surgery. I think its an issue of spokespeople not being honest and upfront about what thy've done.

life is about balance -- Being happy with ones outside appearance and longevity goals. That may mean that a person sacrifices a little bit here, or a little bit there, to achieve that balance.

In my opinion, Suzanne's plastic surgery is very minor compared with her use of orthomolecular supplements; I think she is an excellent spokeswoman for our cause.

Quqlities that I do admire about Mrs. Somers include her strength, courage and fortitude in the face of adversity. She has never given up when times were tough. Her positve work ethics, along with her dedication to improving the health of others by sharing her knowledge and experience is commendable.
