Supplements are used to prevent cancer, not to treat it.  However, you could try very high dose intravenous Vitamin C therapy from an orthomolecular physician who specializes in this in your local area.  Selenium, DIM, figs, curcumin would be an adjunct.  I am a scientist/engineer, not a physician, but I do have a great knowledge of orthomolecular medicine.

In the latest edition of the LEF Disease Prevention and Treatment (just out last month) you'll find on page 308 a listing of the results obtained in placebo controlled studies using the Neuro-hormone Melatonin.

The study you'd be interested in is the second one listed in which radiation was administered on some 30 patients with GlioBlastoma with an expected one year survival of less than 1% in the controls. The group that got the Melatonin enjoyed a 43% one year survival rate.

That's  over 4300% greater survival time in the Melatonin group than the group that received radiotherapy alone and at a dose of only 10mg. Twice that amount has been used (20mg.) in at least one study of non-small cell lung cancer yielding a 26% one year survival over the controls (2600% greater).

Back in the seventies the WHO used high dose melatonin, 70mg as I remember, as a birth control pill in Europe. It was successful but did not replace the conventional birth control pill.

Melatonin is available at stores that sell supplements and the LEF.

I don't know this may be presumptive of me, but I'll say it any way; You're welcome.

DDye:

I dont know exactly the type of cancer but one of the simptoms was lack of balance.

My friend underwent treatment some months ago and aparently is recovering well.

I recomended her LEFs super bio-curcumin. Also told her about reishi mushrooms.

Are my recomendations ok ? Can those suplements prevent the spreading or reocurrence of the cancer ?

What is the recomended dosage of super bio curcumin in this situations ?

Thanks DDye for your help.

I received a recent email from lef about a breakthrough in glioblastoma multiforme treatment.  They found that many sufferers have CMV and that a potent antiviral was greatly prolonged survival.
  • In 40 glioblastoma multiforme patients who received valganciclovir for at least 6 months, the 2-year survival rate was 70%, with a median overall survival of 30.1 months.
  • In 25 glioblastoma multiforme patients that received continuous valganciclovir treatment after the first 6 months had a 2-year survival rate of 90%, with median overall survival of 56.4 months (4.7 years)!
  • Recall that current median survival of glioblastoma multiforme patients is only 12–14 months.
